Left-wing Ollanta Humala was 3 points ahead of right-wing Keiko Fujimori, a poll by Lima's Catholic University showed on Friday before Sunday's presidential election, a source familiar with the data said.
They were still in a technical tie and the margin of error was 2.31 points, the source added.
Polls by other firms this week have shown the former army officer, whose radical past has rattled markets despite his pledges to prudently manage the surging economy, trailing the daughter of jailed former President Alberto Fujimori.
